Eelde Airport (EHGG) is of course Drenthe’s primary international airport. However, with its longest grass runway in The Benelux (1190m), it is Hoogeveen Airport which is ideally suited for both contemporary and classic aircraft. In Dutch, “other” (anders) also means “different” and that is what we are, Drenthe’s different airport.
Hoogeveen is homebase to a collection of vintage aircraft, homebuilts and several clubs and companies operating powered aircraft, glider flying and parachute jumping.
Brasserie De Basisis is our restaurant with a terrace overlooking the airfield.
